UPDATE: Missing 11-Year-Old Avianna Freeman Found Safe in Lubbock County

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office has announced that 11-year-old Avianna Freeman has been found alive and safe.
Officials shared the update Monday, thanking the public for assisting in the search efforts and for submitting tips.

LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX — The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for 11-year-old Avianna Freeman, who was reported missing Sunday evening from the 3900 block of North County Road 1700, outside Shallowater, Texas.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Avianna was last seen on camera footage in her backyard at approximately 5:24 p.m. on March 1, 2026. She was reported missing to law enforcement around 6:10 p.m.
Authorities immediately began canvassing the area on foot Sunday night alongside partner agencies. The search has remained continuous and is ongoing. Officials say they are utilizing all available resources, including helicopters, camera systems, and established missing person protocols.
As of 10:45 a.m. Monday, March 2, Avianna remains missing.
At this time, she does not meet the qualifications for a statewide Amber Alert. However, she has been officially reported as a missing person, and law enforcement continues issuing public notices to raise awareness and generate leads.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information or possible sightings to come forward immediately. Citizens can call 806-775-1600, submit a tip through the Sheriff’s Office website, send a Facebook message, or report anonymously through the Lubbock County Sheriff’s App.
Officials say their top priority remains locating Avianna Freeman safely.
