Community Responds After Serious Crash at FM 1007 & Hwy 96

Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday, the Lake Rayburn Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at FM 1007 and Highway 96. One vehicle rolled over with reported entrapment and multiple injuries.


Lake Rayburn Fire responded with three apparatus and 11 firefighters.


Crews worked swiftly to access and stabilize patients while ensuring the scene remained safe amid heavy traffic flow. One patient was transported by ground ambulance, while another was airlifted by medical helicopter for advanced care.

Firefighters remained on scene assisting EMS and directing traffic as vehicles continued moving through the intersection.


In their statement, Lake Rayburn Fire highlighted the teamwork displayed on scene and their commitment to serving the community.


Incidents like this serve as a reminder of both the dangers present at busy intersections — and the dedication of local first responders who answer the call without hesitation.
